Why is my Roku remote app not finding my device?

⚠️ Starting with Roku OS version 14.1 (released in September 2024), the Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Control by mobile apps > Network access feature must be set to "Enabled" for a Roku device to pair with and receive commands from this app.

⚠️ Starting with Chrome version 147.0 (released in April 2026), you need to disable the new LNA Restriction.

1. Copy:
   chrome://flags/#local-network-access-check-websockets
2. Paste into your address bar and hit Enter.
3. Set option to [Disabled] and click [Relaunch] button (bottom right).

⚠️ Safari

Enable the Develop menu:

1. In the menu bar, click Safari -> Settings….
2. Open the Advanced tab.
3. At the bottom, check:
   “Show features for web developers”
   (In some older versions this is labeled “Show Develop menu in menu bar”)

This will add the Develop menu to the top menu bar (between Bookmarks and Window).

Disable Cross-Origin Restrictions:

1. In the menu bar, click Develop.
2. Click Disable Cross-Origin Restrictions.

⚠️ Starting with Edge version 147.0 (released in April 2026), you need to disable the new LNA Restriction.

1. Copy:
   edge://flags/#local-network-access-check
2. Paste into your address bar and hit Enter.
3. Set option to [Disabled] and click [Relaunch] button (bottom right).

⚠️ Make sure the VPN is OFF, when using Opera.

⚠️ Starting with Opera version 147.0 (released in April 2026), you need to disable the new LNA Restriction.

1. Copy:
   opera://flags/#local-network-access-check-websockets
2. Paste into your address bar and hit Enter.
3. Set option to [Disabled] and click [Relaunch] button (bottom right).
